A total of nine studies were included in this meta-analysis. As one can see from the quote, the link between ADT and metabolic syndrome is strongly endorsed by the data compiled in this analysis. The fact that three out of four men are at increased risk of diabetes following ADT is high enough to warrant either medical or lifestyle interventions that can prevent diabetes in patients prescribed ADT.
